Job Description




  • Accurately dispense medicines and nutritional supplements, with a good knowledge of drug interactions and contraindications according to the ethics guiding the profession.

  • Counsel on medicine use, disease conditions management and preventive methods

  • Supervise Health Care Assistants

  • Advise patients on over-the-counter medications and general health issues and monitor patient health outcomes and adherence to medications

  • Manage the branch’s inventory, including ordering, stocking, and disposing of expired medications and work with the procurement department for effective and efficient drug supply.

  • Create awareness of the Pharmacy’s products and services in the community

  • Verification of all goods supplied to the branch to ensure authenticity, quality, integrity and expiry date according to the company’s policies and procedures.

  • Maintaining an up-to-date customer database, chronic care medication patient list and knowledge of regular customers.

  • Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with patients

  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally according to the company’s policy.



Qualifications




  • B.Pharm Degree from a reputable University, any additional clinical certificate/degree will be an added advantage.

  • A valid and current pharmacist license



Technical / Professional Experience:




  • 2 - 3 years’ work experience in community pharmacy practice

  • In-depth understanding of medications, their uses, and potential side effects.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers.

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft office and data analysis.
