Job Summary




  • The Van Sales Officer is responsible for driving sales and distribution of FMCG products directly to retailers and customers using a company van.

  • The role involves selling, delivering products, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring route efficiency to achieve daily and monthly sales targets.



Key Responsibilities




  • Drive the company van to assigned routes and sell products to existing and new customers

  • Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers and proper handling of products

  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets

  • Identify and onboard new customers/retail outlets within assigned territory

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business

  • Collect payments (cash or POS/transfer) and ensure proper documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of sales, stock, and customer transactions

  • Monitor stock levels in the van and coordinate restocking when necessary

  • Ensure proper display and visibility of products at customer locations

  • Provide market feedback on competitors, pricing, and customer preferences

  • Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working condition



Performance Indicators (KPIs)




  • Daily/Monthly sales target achievement

  • Number of new customers acquired

  • Route coverage efficiency

  • Timely payment collection

  • Customer retention rate.



Requirements & Qualifications




  • Minimum of SSCE / OND qualification

  • Proven experience in van sales or FMCG sales is an advantage

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record

  • Good knowledge of local routes and markets

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Ability to meet targets and work independently

  • Basic numerical and record-keeping skills
