Job Summary

• The Transport/Logistics Manager is responsible for scheduling all truck logistics and movement ensuring truck maintenance, road worthiness, route planning and managing all company drivers to ensure they work in line with corporate goals.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and repair of vehicles to ensure they are safe and operational.


• Scheduling, and tracking routes and deliveries for maximum efficiency.


• Ensuring all drivers comply with local transport regulations, and safety standards.


• Supervising drivers including scheduling, training, and evaluation


• Managing logistics, optimizing efficiency.


• Coordinating with external logistics vendors and negotiating

Qualifications

• Preferably a Mechanical Engineering background but with robust practical experience in transport management


• Minimum of ten years work experience in similar capacity
