Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding the company’s client base, and identifying new business opportunities within the construction and design industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong industry knowledge, capable of building partnerships and converting leads into profitable projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across commercial and institutional projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, and key industry stakeholders
- Generate leads and convert them into signed projects aligned with company targets
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue goals
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, bids, and presentations to prospective clients
- Collaborate with the design, operations, and project teams to ensure alignment on project scope and client expectations
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas
- Negotiate contracts and close deals in line with company policies
- Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition within the construction, real estate, or design industry
- Proven track record of generating leads and closing high-value deals
- Strong understanding of the construction and design lifecycle
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build and sustain professional relationships at all levels
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
