Job Summary
- The Kitchen Assistant supports the kitchen team in daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
- The role involves maintaining cleanliness, assisting chefs, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Training will be provided, so prior experience is not compulsory.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, cutting ingredients).
- Keep the kitchen clean, including washing utensils, dishes, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure proper hygiene and food safety standards are followed.
- Help with arranging and storing food items and supplies.
- Assist in setting up the kitchen before service and cleaning up after service.
- Dispose of waste properly and keep work areas tidy.
- Follow instructions from chefs and kitchen supervisors.
- Support smooth kitchen operations at all times.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE (preferred but not compulsory) with 0-1 year experience.
- Experience is not compulsory – training will be provided.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take corrections.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
- Good personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- Honest, punctual, and hardworking.
