Job Summary




  • Maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the finance team in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.



Responsibilities




  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions (payments, receipts, invoices, expenses)

  • Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and periodic reports.

  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely settlements.

  • Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in filing statutory returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.).

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger and supporting schedules.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.

  • Monitor and control petty cash and bank transactions.

  • Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, controls, and procedures.

  • Liaise with banks, auditors, vendors, and other stakeholders on finance-related matters.



Job Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc/HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field

  • Minimum of 2–5 years relevant experience in accounting or finance roles

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems)

  • Experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, and general ledger management

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

  • Understanding of tax regulations (VAT, WHT, PAYE) and statutory compliance

  • Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage

  • Proximity to Surulere or its environs is an added advantage.

  • Available for resumption within one or two weeks.
