Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all company transactions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support decision-making
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes effectively
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and overall profitability across projects
- Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions (PAYE, VAT, pensions, etc.)
- Provide support during audit processes and liaise with external auditors when required
- Prepare invoices and follow up on payments from clients and contractors
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions
- Support management with financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations
- Assist with the management and tracking of company assets
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2–3 years’ experience in an accounting role (experience in a project-based environment is an added advantage)
- Good understanding of financial reporting standards and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory requirements
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
