Brief Description

• The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.


• This role ensures optimal system functionality to support a comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient environment for clients.

Duties

• Install HVAC systems, components, and related equipment (ducts, thermostats, controls, etc.).


• Ensure proper calibration and functionality of systems after installation.


• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.


• Diagnose and troubleshooting system malfunctions, electrical and mechanical faults.


• Replace or repair defective components such as compressors, motors, fans, and thermostats.


• Ensure systems comply with energy efficiency and environmental standards.


• Explain technical issues and solutions to clients in clear, understandable terms.


• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and equipment history.


• Ensure compliance with HVAC codes, standards, and company policies.


• Report daily activities, issues, and completed work to the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• HND certificate in HVAC Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.


• 2–5 years of proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repairs.

Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and tools.


• Attention to detail and accuracy


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
