The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
This role ensures optimal system functionality to support a comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient environment for clients.
Duties
Install HVAC systems, components, and related equipment (ducts, thermostats, controls, etc.).
Ensure proper calibration and functionality of systems after installation.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
Diagnose and troubleshooting system malfunctions, electrical and mechanical faults.
Replace or repair defective components such as compressors, motors, fans, and thermostats.
Ensure systems comply with energy efficiency and environmental standards.
Explain technical issues and solutions to clients in clear, understandable terms.
Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and equipment history.
Ensure compliance with HVAC codes, standards, and company policies.
Report daily activities, issues, and completed work to the supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
HND certificate in HVAC Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2–5 years of proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repairs.
Competencies:
