Location: Sapele, Delta State

Job Purpose

To support the implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Kaizen initiatives across operations in a flour manufacturing factory by assisting with process improvement activities, data collection and analysis, workshops, audits, and performance reporting. This role is designed as a developmental position to build foundational skills in Lean principles, Kaizen methodologies, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support CI and Kaizen initiatives across production and support functions.


• Participate in Gemba walks, improvement workshops, and CI projects.


• Observe and document processes, identifying waste and inefficiencies.


• Collect and analyse operational data (downtime, waste, output).


• Assist with CI reporting and simple Excel dashboards.


• Support application of CI tools (5S, Standard Work, basic problem-solving).


• Assist with CI training, communication, meetings, and audits.


• Track improvement actions and support governance activities.

Key Performance Indicators

• Participation in CI projects


• Quality and timeliness of CI data and reports


• Support for 5S audits and improvement actions


• Learning progress in CI tools

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Milling Technology, or related discipline.

Experience: 0–2 years’ manufacturing or operations experience 

Skills & Competencies

• Interest in Continuous Improvement and Lean concepts


• Basic problem-solving skills


• Microsoft Excel (basic–intermediate)


• Good communication, teamwork, and learning mindset
