Position Overview
- A family in Abuja is seeking a highly experienced, discreet, and professional Male Housekeeper to manage the daily upkeep and maintenance of their shared living space.
- The ideal candidate must be meticulous, trustworthy, well-organized, and able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and order with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Cleaning:
- Maintain overall cleanliness of the entire residence to premium standards
- Daily cleaning of all living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common spaces
- Deep cleaning on scheduled days (including dusting, polishing, scrubbing, and vacuuming)
- Proper handling and use of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ensure all surfaces, fixtures, and furniture are always well-maintained and presentable.
Laundry & Wardrobe Care:
- Washing, ironing, folding, and proper arrangement of clothing
- Care for delicate fabrics and designer clothing according to instructions
- Organize wardrobes and ensure neat storage systems are maintained.
Kitchen & Basic Support:
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen at all times
- Wash dishes and ensure kitchen equipment is properly arranged after use
- Assist in light kitchen organization (no cooking required unless requested).
House Organization:
- Ensure all household items are properly arranged and stored
- Monitor and report low supplies (cleaning materials, toiletries, etc.)
- Maintain a tidy and clutter-free environment at all times
Security & Discretion:
- Maintain confidentiality and respect household privacy at all times
- Report any unusual activity or maintenance concerns promptly
- Ensure doors, windows, and gates are properly secured when necessary.
General Maintenance Support:
- Basic supervision of household cleanliness standards
- Report minor repairs or maintenance needs immediately
- Assist with arranging maintenance personnel when required.
Requirements
- 5 - 8 Proven experience as a professional housekeeper in private, household
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- High level of integrity, honesty, and discretion
- Physically fit and able to handle daily cleaning duties
- Good communication skills (basic English required)
- Must be respectful, well-groomed, and professional in appearance.
Preferred Qualities:
- Experience working premium private households
- Minimum of HND and any relevant Bsc degree
- Understanding of modern cleaning techniques and equipment
- Long-term commitment mindset
- Calm, disciplined, and trustworthy personality.
