Job Summary




  • We are seeking a competent and hands-on HR Manager with experience in the supermarket or retail sector to oversee daily HR operations.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing workforce activities, ensuring compliance with Nigerian labor laws, and supporting business growth through effective people management.



Key Responsibilities




  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and staff exit processes.

  • Handle employee relations issues, including grievances and disciplinary actions.

  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian Labor Law and company policies.

  • Oversee staff attendance, shifts, and workforce planning (especially for store operations).

  • Manage performance appraisal processes and staff development initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

  • Coordinate payroll inputs (leave, overtime, deductions, etc.).

  • Drive employee engagement and retention strategies.

  • Provide HR support to store managers and operational teams.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a supermarket, retail, or FMCG environment.

  • Good knowledge of Nigerian Labor Law and HR best practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment.

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
