Job Description

• The Medical Officer is responsible for providing high-quality medical care by diagnosing, treating, and managing patients in line with established clinical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical examinations and assess patients’ health conditions


• Diagnose illnesses and prescribe appropriate treatments and medications


• Manage both outpatient and inpatient care


• Perform minor medical procedures where necessary


• Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records


• Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families


• Respond to medical emergencies promptly and effectively


• Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare staff


• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and government regulations

Qualifications and Requirements

• Candidates should possess an MBBS with a minimum of 3 years post-NYSC clinical experience (preferred)


• Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)


• Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)


• Current practicing license.
