Background




  • Malaria Consortium is one of the world’s leading non-profit organisations dedicated to the comprehensive control of malaria and other communicable diseases in Africa and Southeast Asia. The organisation works with communities, government and non-government agencies, academic institutions, and local and international partners to ensure that evidence supports the delivery of effective health services.

  • Through funding from Philanthropic Fund, Global Fund (GF), and KOICA, Malaria Consortium supports the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP) and State Malaria Elimination Programmes (SMEPs) across multiple states to implement Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC).

  • SMC involves the administration of monthly courses of antimalarial drugs to children during the high malaria transmission season to maintain therapeutic drug levels and prevent malaria.

  • The National Training of Trainers (NTOT) is designed to equip national and state-level trainers with the knowledge and skills required to effectively cascade SMC, SMC VAS and SMC- RI training to state and LGA teams. This will ensure quality, consistency, and improved programme outcomes in the 2026 implementation cycle.



Purpose of the Assignment




  • The purpose of this ToRis to engage 2 workshop assistants to provide supportfor 2026 SMC National Training of Trainers.



Specific activities of workshop assistant (IT & Administration)




  • Coordinate the e-attendance for the duration of the meeting

  • Liaise with hotel to keep to feeding times.

  • Distribute workshop materials toparticipantsas necessary.

  • Take photograph of workshop sessions

  • Set up and operate IT equipment for smooth running of the meeting.

  • Do other assigned duties for the smooth running of the workshop.



Deliverables:




  • E-attendance for participants

  • Meeting notes for all 3 meeting days

  • E-copy of workshop pictures



Requirements




  • A minimum of ND in any discipline (Workshop Assistant)

  • Must be computer literate

  • Experience in providing administrative support for workshops and trainings.

  • Ability to take proper detailednotes of meeting.
