- A financial services company located in Victoria Island, Lagos, is in need of a well-detail-oriented and strategically minded finance managerto lead our finance operations and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
About the Role
- The ideal candidate must possess a deep understanding of financial modeling and the ability to simplify complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
- The financial managerwill be responsible for managing and handling the financial activities and reports of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide monthly/quarterly rolling forecasts.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and present insights to the executive team.
- Strategic Growth: Analyze market trends and competitor data to identify opportunities for expansion or cost-saving.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations while maintaining robust internal controls.
- Team Leadership: Oversee accounting/accounts payable/receivable teams and foster a culture of professional development.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor liquidity and manage investment strategies to optimize company capital.
Qualification & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; ACCA
- A master's degree in Accounting, finance, or economics is an added advantage
- The ideal candidate must be currently working with a finance company or commercial bank
- A minimum of 8 yearsin a finance role, with a good knowledge of BankOne software
- Proficiency in BankOne software and advanced mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
- A proven track record of using data to solve complex business problems.
- Sound financial presentation skills.
