Job Summary
- The Laundry Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end laundry operations, ensuring efficiency, quality control, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- The role combines operational leadership with business development responsibilities to drive revenue growth, improve service delivery, and maintain high hygiene and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily laundry operations including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and packaging.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
- Monitor workflow efficiency and implement process improvements to optimize productivity.
- Manage inventory of detergents, chemicals, and consumables to prevent shortages or wastage.
- Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of laundry equipment and machinery.
- Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Business Development & Revenue Growth:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities (e.g., hotels, hospitals, corporate clients).
- Develop and implement strategies to increase customer base and revenue streams.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
- Prepare proposals, pricing models, and service contracts for prospective clients.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategy.
- Collaborate with management on expansion plans and service diversification.
Customer Service & Experience:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and quality service delivery.
- Handle customer complaints, feedback, and service recovery promptly and professionally.
- Develop customer retention strategies and loyalty programs.
- Monitor service turnaround times and ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Train staff on customer service excellence and communication standards.
Team Leadership & Human Resource Management:
- Supervise, train, and evaluate laundry staff including operators, attendants, and supervisors.
- Develop staff schedules and ensure adequate manpower planning.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Enforce discipline and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage operational budgets and cost controls.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Track revenue, profitability, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare regular operational and financial reports for management review.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure garments are properly handled and processed.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of processes and output quality.
- Maintain proper documentation and reporting systems.
Logistics & Service Delivery:
- Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
- Optimize routing and transportation for cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure proper tracking and handling of customer items to avoid loss or damage.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- 5–10 years’ experience in laundry services, hospitality, or operations management.
- Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Good understanding of laundry equipment, chemicals, and processes.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic operational systems.
