Role Overview

• The Farm Security & Safety Officer is responsible for protecting farm assets, ensuring staff safety, monitoring security systems, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all farm operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems and farm premises for security risks


• Control access to farm facilities and enforce entry protocols


• Conduct routine patrols of livestock, crop, and storage areas


• Ensure staff compliance with safety and security procedures


• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and unusual activities


• Maintain incident logs and prepare daily/weekly reports


• Enforce HSE standards across all farm operations


• Support emergency response and risk prevention measures.

Requirements

• Prior experience in securityor safety roles


• Strong observation and reporting skills


• Discipline, integrity, and attention to detail


• Ability to handle incidents calmly and professionally


• Basic knowledge of safety or HSE practices (advantage)


• Intermediate computer literacy, including email communication, document preparation, and use of spreadsheets for reporting and record-keeping.

Work Environment

• Farm-based operational setting


• Indoor (control room/CCTV) and outdoor patrol duties


• Active, 24/7 operational awareness required.

Compensation & Growth

• Salary: N80,000 – N120,000 / month.
