Scope: health and wellness brands under the Velorix portfolio
Velorix is a health and wellness company operating a portfolio of brands that supply weight loss and wellness products to individuals, clinics, and pharmacy partners across Nigeria. We run multiple digital brands some focused on driving SEO traffic, others on direct sales and we are looking for one exceptional person to own the digital growth of three of these brands simultaneously. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for someone who lives and breathes digital growth.
ROLE SUMMARY
As Digital Growth Manager, you will own the online presence, search rankings, social media, paid advertising, and customer acquisition strategy for Velorix health brands. You understand how to use satellite websites and SEO interlinking to drive traffic to main brands. You hunt trends, study competitors, mine customer comments, and turn insights into content and campaigns that get results. You also interact directly with customers responding to enquiries, capturing leads, and passing orders through the sales funnel. Your one overriding goal is growth: more traffic, higher rankings, more orders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SEO & Search Rankings
- Own the SEO strategy across three brands — your goal is to make each one rank as high as possible on Google for relevant weight loss and wellness search terms in Nigeria
- Manage and optimize satellite/supporting websites to build domain authority and drive organic traffic to the main brand sites through smart interlinking
- Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-volume, high-intent search terms customers are using
- Optimize all website pages, product listings, and blog content for target keywords
- Build backlinks through outreach, guest posting, directory listings, and partnerships
- Monitor and improve technical SEO — site speed, mobile performance, crawlability, and indexing
- Use Google Search Console and Google Analytics to track rankings, traffic sources, and conversions — report weekly
- Identify and fix SEO issues in collaboration with the web developer
Trend Research & Competitor Intelligence
- Regularly monitor TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and health forums to identify trending topics, products, and conversations in the weight loss and wellness space
- Study competitor brand pages and TikTok accounts — analyse what content is performing well and why
- Mine comments on competitor posts and Nigerian health communities to understand customer pain points, questions, and desires — turn these into content angles and ad copy
- Stay ahead of algorithm changes on TikTok, Instagram, and Google — adapt strategy quickly
- Bring weekly trend reports and content ideas to the team based on what you are seeing online
Social Media & Content
- Plan and manage social media content calendars for the assigned brands across TikTok and Instagram
- Use Google Flow to generate and edit AI-powered short-form videos for Reels and TikTok
- Use Google Whisk to create AI-generated images for posts, stories, ads, and promotions
- Use ChatGPT and Google Gemini to draft, refine, and repurpose captions, scripts, and broadcast copy at speed
- Publish content consistently — minimum 4–5 posts per week per active brand
- Track social metrics weekly — follower growth, reach, engagement rate, and click-throughs to website
Google Ads & Paid Advertising
- Set up, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns (Search, Display, and YouTube) for assigned brands
- Write high-converting ad copy tailored to Nigerian audiences searching for weight loss and wellness products
- Manage ad budgets efficiently — monitor daily spend, adjust bids and targeting to maximize return on ad spend
- Identify and negotiate advertising placements on relevant health, lifestyle, and wellness partner websites
- Run A/B tests on ads, landing pages, and audiences — implement learnings to continuously improve performance
- Report on Google Ads performance weekly — clicks, impressions, cost-per-acquisition, and revenue generated
Customer Interaction & Lead Capture
- Respond to customer comments, DMs, and enquiries across social media channels promptly and professionally
- Capture inbound leads from social media and website traffic — qualify them and pass to the sales team via WhatsApp or Telegram
- Engage with potential customers in the comments sections of relevant TikTok and Instagram content
- Write and send WhatsApp broadcast messages for promotions, new products, and campaigns
- Maintain a positive and trustworthy brand voice across all customer touchpoints
Reporting & Strategy
- Deliver a weekly performance report to the founder covering SEO rankings, social growth, ad performance, and lead volume across all three brands
- Use data from Google Analytics, Search Console, and social insights to make informed decisions and recommendations
- Continuously test new channels, formats, and strategies — double down on what works, cut what does not
- Collaborate with the web developer on landing page optimization, tracking setup, and site improvements
- Collaborate with the Sales & BDM team to align campaigns and content with product availability and promotions
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in digital marketing covering SEO, social media, and paid advertising
- Proven track record of improving Google search rankings and growing organic traffic
- Hands-on experience running and optimizing Google Ads campaigns with measurable ROI
- Experience managing multiple brands or websites simultaneously
- Proficient with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Ads Manager
- Strong understanding of SEO — on-page, off-page, technical SEO, and interlinking strategies
- Comfortable using AI tools — Google Flow, Google Whisk, ChatGPT, and Google Gemini — for content creation
- Excellent copywriting in English and/or Nigerian Pidgin
- Highly analytical and data-driven — you make decisions based on numbers
- Self-directed, proactive, and able to manage multiple brands and deadlines without supervision
- At least one of the following certifications: Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Certificate, Google Analytics Certification, Google Ads Certification, Meta Blueprint, or HubSpot Content Marketing Certification
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with satellite SEO websites and domain authority building strategies
- Existing knowledge of the Nigerian health, wellness, or weight loss market
- Experience with Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram paid campaigns)
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and conversion tracking setup
- Experience growing TikTok or Instagram accounts from scratch in a health or lifestyle niche
- Knowledge of affiliate marketing or influencer partnership management
