What you’ll do



Tender Management & Coordination




  • Identify, track, and evaluate tender opportunities from various sources including NNPC, IOCs, NOCs, and other industry clients.

  • Manage the complete tender lifecycle from pre-qualification to final submission.

  • Develop and maintain a tender calendar with critical milestones and submission deadlines.

  • Conduct go/no-go analysis for tender opportunities based on strategic fit, profitability potential, and resource availability.

  • Coordinate pre-bid meetings and site visits with clients and stakeholders.



Bid Preparation & Documentation




  • Lead the preparation of comprehensive bid documents including technical proposals, commercial offers, and supporting documentation.

  • Collaborate with technical, operations, HSE, and finance teams to gather accurate information for bid compilation.

  • Develop compelling executive summaries and cover letters that highlight company strengths and differentiators.

  • Ensure all tender documentation is complete, accurate, and professionally presented.

  • Prepare pricing strategies and commercial proposals in collaboration with finance and senior management.



Compliance & Quality Assurance




  • Ensure all bids comply with Nigerian Content Development Act requirements and local content regulations.

  • Verify compliance with client specifications, industry standards (API, ISO, etc.), and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct thorough reviews of tender documents to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission.

  • Maintain quality control processes to minimize errors and non-compliance risks.

  • Ensure proper documentation of certifications, licenses, and company credentials.



Strategic Analysis & Research




  • Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform bidding strategies.

  • Analyze tender requirements and identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Research client backgrounds, project histories, and evaluation criteria.

  • Benchmark pricing against market rates and competitor offerings.

  • Identify value-added services and innovative solutions to enhance bid competitiveness.



Stakeholder Engagement




  • Liaise with clients to clarify tender requirements and address queries.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for technical input and pricing.

  • Facilitate internal bid review meetings and presentation sessions.

  • Manage relationships with relevant government agencies regarding tender-related matters.

  • Provide regular updates to management on tender status and progress.



Database & Records Management




  • Maintain a comprehensive database of tender opportunities, submissions, and outcomes.

  • Develop and update a library of standard tender responses, company credentials, and technical documentation.

  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of all tender-related documents.

  • Track and manage tender bonds, bid securities, and insurance requirements.





     



Requirements

 



What we are looking for



Education




  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline), Project Management, or related field.

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management is an advantage.

  • Professional certifications in Tendering or Project Management are highly desirable.



Experience




  • 4–7 years of progressive experience in bids, tendering, or business development within the oil and gas industry, with at least 3 years working with Oil & Gas servicing companies in Nigeria.

  • Proven track record in winning competitive tenders with IOCs, NOCs, and indigenous companies

  • Experience with upstream, midstream, or downstream oil & gas projects.

  • Experience with open tendering, restricted tendering, and framework agreements.

  • Prior engagement with major clients such as NNPC, Shell, Chevron, TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, or other IOCs/NOCs operating in Nigeria.



Knowledge & Proficiency




  • Strong understanding of oil and gas operations, services, equipment, industry standards, and HSE requirements.

  • Knowledge of Nigerian Content Development Act, NOGICD Act, DPR regulations, and NNPC procurement procedures.

  • Commercial knowledge including pricing strategies, contract types, financial analysis, and risk assessment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, tender management systems, document management systems, MS Project/Primavera, and Adobe Acrobat.
