The Role
- The Market Intelligence & Insights team is expanding, and we are looking for a highly analytical and customer-obsessed team member to join us as a Market Intelligence & Insights Analyst.
- In this role, you will work directly with the MI&I Manager to uncover the trends, behaviors, and competitive forces shaping the Nigerian fintech landscape. No prior formal market research experience is required. We will teach you the methodologies, tools, and science of research. What you need to bring is a deep understanding of the business, a passion for solving problems, and an eagerness to learn both quantitative (numbers-driven) and qualitative (people-driven) research.
What You Will Do
- Assist in the design, scripting, and deployment of customer surveys to measure satisfaction, product usage, and market trends
- Help organize and eventually conduct customer interviews, focus groups, and usability tests to understand the "why" behind customer behaviors
- Learn to analyze raw data, including survey results and internal metrics, to identify patterns and translate them into actionable insights
- Monitor the Nigerian lending and fintech landscape to track competitor products, campaigns, and market positioning
- Co-create visually engaging and easy-to-understand reports and presentations for cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, and Management
- Support end-to-end research projects that influence business decisions and strategy
Requirements
What You Bring
Experience & Background
- Experience in Customer Experience, Data Analytics, Product, Operations, or related areas is an advantage
- Strong understanding of the company's products, customer base, and operations
- No prior formal market research experience is required
Skills & Competencies

- Analytical empathy with the ability to connect data to real customer experiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Comfortable with basic data manipulation tools such as Excel or Google Sheets
- Eagerness to learn quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
