Job Description
We are seeking a responsible, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness, order, and hygiene in a home or facility. The ideal candidate will handle daily cleaning tasks, manage household chores, and ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Housekeeping
- Clean and maintain all areas of the home/facility: bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and common areas
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and polish surfaces
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms: toilets, sinks, showers, bathtubs, and mirrors
- Change bed linens, make beds, and ensure bedrooms are tidy
- Wash, fold, iron, and put away clothes and linens
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly
Kitchen & Laundry
- Clean kitchen surfaces, appliances, dishes, and cookware
- Put away groceries and maintain kitchen organization
- Wash and iron clothes, handle delicate fabrics with care
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and storage spaces
Maintenance & Organization
- Report maintenance issues, leaks, damages, or shortages of supplies to the supervisor
- Keep storage areas, closets, and cupboards organized
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replacements when needed
Education & Experience
- Minimum SSCE
- Previous experience as a housekeeper, maid, or domestic worker is highly desirable
- Experience in a home, hotel, or facility setting is an advantage
Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of:
- Cleaning methods and use of cleaning products
- Laundry and ironing techniques
- Household organization and time management
Ability to:
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Pay attention to detail and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Handle household items and linens with care
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with family members or guests
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
