Job role




  • The Star Development Team Lead manages a team of Star Development Coordinators responsible for recruiting, training, and onboarding Jaza Stars for new service locations.

  • This role ensures that qualified personnel are hired and properly prepared to operate Jaza service locations effectively.

  • The position plays a critical role in the successful launch and operation of new sites by ensuring each location has competent Jaza Stars who understand the company's mission and operational procedures. 



Accountabilities




  • Lead a team of Star Development Coordinators to achieve Jaza Star recruitment targets 

  • Ensure the team maintains a high First Pass Yield for recruitment and training processes

  • Maintain team staffing levels to ensure required coordinator roles are filled

  • Own the quality standards for Jaza Star recruitment, training, and onboarding

  • Ensure consistent implementation of Star development processes across all new sites.



Roles & Responsibilities

Team Management and Development: 




  • Recruit, train, and mentor Star Development Coordinators 

  • Assign and track team member responsibilities for Jaza Star recruitment in assigned regions 

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members 

  • Identify training needs and coordinate skill development for the star development team

  • Ensure team members understand and follow recruitment and training standards 



Recruitment Strategy and Implementation: 




  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for new Jaza service locations

  • Oversee the creation and distribution of job advertisements for Jaza Star positions

  • Establish standardized interview processes and selection criteria 

  • Ensure recruitment activities are aligned with expansion timelines 

  • Monitor recruitment metrics and adjust strategies to meet targets 



Training Program Management: 




  • Oversee the development and maintenance of comprehensive training materials

  • Ensure consistency in training delivery across all new sites 

  • Review and approve training schedules and logistics 

  • Implement effective evaluation methods to assess trainee competency 

  • Identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness and efficiency 



Onboarding Quality Assurance: 




  • Maintain a high First Pass Yield for the recruitment process by implementing quality control measures 

  • Review and approve final Jaza Star selections before contracting 

  • Ensure proper documentation of all Jaza Star information in the HR registry ○ Oversee the contract issuance and signing process for new Jaza Stars 

  • Monitor post-onboarding performance to identify training gaps 



Go-Live Support and Evaluation:




  • Coordinate Jaza Star participation in site go-live activities 

  • Oversee the first month of operational support for new Jaza Stars 

  • Implement performance monitoring mechanisms for newly onboarded Stars

  • Ensure a smooth transition of Jaza Stars from recruitment to operations 

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment and training through star performance metrics 



Go-Live Support and Evaluation: 




  • Provide regular updates to the QA Expansion/Growth Lead on recruitment progress

  • Document and report key metrics, including Jaza Stars recruited, onboarded, and retention rates 

  • Present recruitment and training data during expansion team meetings 

  • Contribute to the refinement of recruitment, training, and onboarding processes

  • Facilitate communication between the expansion team and the operations team regarding Star Development 



Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)




  • Team completion rate (percentage of required roles filled) 

  • Number of Jaza Stars recruited vs. targets 

  • First Pass Yield for recruitment (total Jaza Stars recruited minus number requiring replacement)

  • Onboarding completion rate.



Requirements




  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any related field.

  • Ability to develop tailored recruitment strategies to attract candidates.

  • Previous experience in roles where rural talent acquisition was done.

  • Managerial skills.
