Job Description
We are looking for a Finance Officer to take charge of the financial health of our company by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements.
You should be familiar with audits, invoices and budget preparations. Our ideal candidate demonstrates interest in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.
Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare payments and ensure timely approval and payment
- Responsible for petty cash disbursement and ensure proper reconciliation and replenishment.
- Develops and maintains financial systems
- Plans, directs, and controls accounting and financial operations
- Prepares reports and documents covering accounting transactions for management review
- Ensures that accurate records are kept by standard practices
- Establishes budgets, forecasts future cash flows, provides periodic financial analysis
- Monitors budget performance, expenditure control
- Manages invoicing procedures to collect money owed by clients/customers
- Mediating tax refunds and ensuring transparency in the allocation for valid claims
- Following up on outstanding refunds, false claims, and unclaimed refunds
- Providing auditors with all records, documents, and files about VAT returns, VAT settlements, and transactional data
- And other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The following qualifications are required:
- Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
- At least 2-4years experience managing contracts including experience in supporting finance, procurement, operations and logistics tasks.
- Experience in budgeting and knowledge of Microsoft office tools
- The ideal candidate must be attentive to detail, highly organized, flexible and self-motivated with excellent communication skills in written and oral communication
- S/He must clearly display the ability to prioritize and perform to tight deadlines
- Must be able to work as a team and collaborate
- Good oral and written English fluency required.
