Role Description




  • This is a full-time, on-site Mathematics Teacher role based in Ibadan.

  • The Mathematics Teacher will plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching a range of mathematics topics, setting and marking assignments and assessments, and providing timely feedback to learners and families.

  • The role involves differentiating instruction to support diverse learning needs, maintaining accurate records of students’ progress, and contributing to curriculum review and development.

  • The teacher will also participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and contribute to a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom and school environment.



Qualifications




  • Strong subject knowledge and teaching ability in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with a passion for helping learners develop problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including designing engaging lessons, assessments, and learning resources aligned with school standards.

  • Status as a Qualified Teacher, with appropriate teaching certification and classroom experience, preferably in an international or British curriculum school.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field; an education qualification or PGCE (or equivalent) is an advantage.

  • Experience teaching within the English National Curriculum (or similar frameworks) and familiarity with blended or cross-curricular approaches.

  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices.

  • Comfort with basic educational technology for lesson delivery, assessment, and communication with learners and families.

  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development
