A minimum of HND or BSc and a Master's degree in any relevant field.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Previous experience in a similar role within the Marine Industry will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate must reside within Delta State.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinating with Heads of Department and Teachers-in-Charge to compile lists of equipment, complete with specifications, for the purchase of new equipment or spare parts
Liaising with teachers to compile lists of equipment and consumables required for effective lessons and project work
Liaising with teachers and other technical staff on equipment, spare parts, and consumables required for purchase
Installing new equipment
Purchasing or assisting in the purchase of equipment, spare parts, and consumables
Cleaning and returning equipment to storage or resource rooms
Conducting regular cleaning and servicing of equipment where possible
Conducting repairs and calibration of equipment where possible
Coordinating the servicing, repair, and calibration of equipment by external service providers and suppliers
Ensuring the safe custody, repair, and maintenance of equipment under their charge
Ensuring that resources and equipment are in good working condition when required
Repairing materials and resources, including components, kits, and tools, for teachers and students' projects
Ensuring the proper functioning of eLearning equipment and resources used across all College schools
Reporting infrastructural faults, including services and utilities in laboratories, resource rooms, and all technology-enabled environments, to the Senior Leadership Team
Maintaining an up-to-date computerized inventory system for all IT equipment
Liaising with teachers on available stock levels and conducting inventory checks to ensure adequate consumable supplies in line with reorder thresholds
Maintaining a schedule of laboratory activities involving laboratory technicians
Assisting in the setup and maintenance of computer laboratories, resource rooms, and all technology-enabled environments
Reporting infrastructural faults in laboratories and technology-enabled environments to the authorized Senior Leadership Team member or Precincts Officer for remedial action
Monitoring the functionality of electrical systems in IT laboratories at all times
Being present as required during ICT and Computer lessons in laboratories and other technology-enabled environments
Preparing materials, tools, and resources as required by teachers
Coordinating with the Senior Leadership Team regarding the upkeep and clearing of laboratories and resource rooms
Attending meetings, training sessions, seminars, and staff development programmes as required, both locally and internationally
Supporting the implementation of eLearning solutions
Ensuring the proper functioning of all eLearning equipment used across College schools
Performing other duties as may be assigned by the Education Directorates
Performing any other duties in line with Public Service requirements as directed by the Principal Permanent Secretary
