JOB OBJECTIVE


The ideal candidate should be able to oversee the financial function of the organisation. He/she should be able to raise fund and strategically manage funds. The individual should also possess high reasoning ability with excellent documentation and reporting skills.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategy



  • Implement and deliver the company’s finance strategy and support the management team in its development.

  • Ensure that management accounts are accurately prepared and delivered according to agreed timelines.

  • Drive and oversee the annual budgeting and in-year forecasting processes.

  • Develop a budget management framework to analyse the business’ performance and its delivery of a value for money service to its stakeholders.

  • Ensure all new initiatives/projects/business cases are reviewed and assessed for agreed financial returns on investment and SMART KPIs.

  • Revenue Assurance and Financial Control

  • Ensure the business is liquid and funds raised from identified sources

  • Ensure raised funds are allocated and used optimally to generate revenue and assure profitability.

  • Work with the finance team to continually develop, implement and document robust finance controls, processes and procedures: ensure that the organisation operates within these

  • Ensure the smooth running of the accounts payable and receivable functions.

  • Lead on the annual external audit and any internal functional audits


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE



  • A proven record of success as a Finance Manager, Finance Unit Leader etc with 3 - 5 years work experience and at least 3 years in a Fintech or any other Financial Institution.

  • Possess bachelor and master’s degree preferably in finance or managerial discipline.

  • Ability to communicate with C-level and Board of Directors

  • Professional qualifications, and membership of relevant associations and networks.

  • Lead on the annual external audit and any internal functional audits, and statutory compliances.

  • Fund raising and revenue assurance experience.

  • Wide knowledge of the industry – financial services, banking, fintech, e-commerce.

  • An understanding of administration and corporate operations.

  • Excellent Documentation skills

  • People management and leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking skills.

  • Excellent process and project management skills.

  • Ability to adapt to and create a high intensity work environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with the C-suite level.
