Be a visible presence in the boarding house by engaging with the students, checking the state of the student rooms, and getting to know the students on a personal level.
Encourage cleanliness in the Boarding House and perform frequent room checks.
Enforce rules and expectations, and follow through with disciplinary action when necessary.
Provide the Head of Administration with regular updates on student behaviour.
Follow up on student illness with the Head of Administration, Nurse, and parents when necessary.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Remain in the Boarding House for as long as there are students.
Requirements
A relevant Bachelor's Degree (preferably with a background in Guidance & Counselling or Psychology)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Previous experience in a similar role
Ability to work with, care for, and supervise young people
Ability to work as a team member and lead by example.
Must be a graduate.
Ability to work with, care for and supervise young people.
High levels of energy, an even temper and a sense of humour.
Confidence in spoken and written English
Confidence to correct students who are not adhering to the school rules
Ability to relate to young people.
Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural environment.
Willingness to work unsociable hours.
Ability to work as a team member and lead by example.
