The Director, Public Affairs will drive the Company’s external engagement agenda, managing relationships with government authorities, overseeing host community interactions, and protecting the Company’s corporate reputation across all operating regions.

This role sits at a critical intersection of business operations, regulation, and public perception, and requires strong leadership, influence, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Leading the Company’s Public Affairs strategy across all regions


• Managing high-level engagement with government and regulatory institutions


• Overseeing host community relations to ensure operational stability


• Driving corporate reputation management and public communication


• Coordinating crisis and issues management across the business


• Providing strategic advisory to Executive Management on external risks and stakeholder dynamics


• Ensuring all external engagements are structured, compliant, and aligned with corporate objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Political Science, Law, Public Administration, Mass Communication, etc.)


• A Master’s Degree or professional certification is an added advantage


• Minimum of 15 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role


• Strong background in public affairs, government relations, corporate communications, or stakeholder management


• Proven ability to engage and influence senior government and regulatory stakeholders


• Demonstrated experience managing complex community or stakeholder environments


• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills


• Sound judgment and ability to operate at executive level
