We are seeking a skilled Air System Operator & Technician to operate, maintain, and support the commissioning of industrial humidification, air-conditioning, and dust-extraction systems within a modern yarn manufacturing plant.
The ideal candidate will ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality to support efficient production, equipment performance, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain the humidification and air-conditioning systems to achieve target temperature and humidity levels across production areas.
Monitor and manage the dust-extraction and waste-collection systems, including Jingya exhauster blowers, ducting, and filtration units.
Clean, inspect, and replace filters, including honeycomb dust filters, to maintain optimal airflow and system efficiency.
Monitor and record temperature, humidity, airflow, and pressure readings, taking corrective actions where necessary.
Perform preventive and corrective mechanical and electrical maintenance on fans, blowers, motors, pumps, dampers, and spray nozzles.
Support the installation, testing, commissioning, and ramp-up of air system equipment.
Manage spare parts inventory, including filters, bearings, belts, pump components, and other critical consumables.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
Train and mentor junior technicians and assistants on the operation and maintenance of air systems.
Requirements
HND, B.Eng., B.Tech, or Trade Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration, HVAC Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience operating and maintaining industrial humidification, air-conditioning, and dust-extraction systems.
Experience in textile manufacturing, spinning mills, FMCG, manufacturing, or other dust-intensive industrial environments is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, industrial fans, blowers, pumps, filters, air washers, ducting, and basic electrical/mechanical maintenance.
Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and plant start-up will be an added advantage.
Excellent troubleshooting, record-keeping, communication, and problem-solving skills.
