The Marketing Officer will support the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies for polymer products in the Nigerian markets.
This role requires close interaction with customers, distributors, logistics, and internal commercial teams to drive volume growth, improve market share, and strengthen customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage assigned customer accounts, ensuring timely order booking, delivery coordination, and high-level after-sales/complaint resolution.
Identify and develop new customers/distributors in target sectors (packaging, plastics converters, blow molding, injection molding). Promote new grades, applications, and product trials.
Conduct regular market visits to track competitor activities, pricing trends, and segment-wise usage. Assist in organizing promotional campaigns, exhibitions, and customer seminars.
Provide regular sales performance updates, pipelines, and forecasts. Assist in preparing monthly marketing MIS reports and presentations for internal reviews.
Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and resolve supply bottlenecks.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
Experiences:
4 - 6 years of relevant experience in polymer sales, industrial marketing, or B2B commercial roles.
High proficiency in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint) for compiling sales data and presentations.
Skills:
Smart, presentable, self-driven, energetic, and highly willing to travel extensively across the region.
Familiarity with packaging/plastics manufacturing downstream sectors is a major plus.
