We are seeking an experienced Wells Advisor III to provide expert technical leadership in drilling and completion operations. The successful candidate will mentor engineering teams, oversee drilling programs, and drive continuous improvement to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of well delivery projects.
Key Responsibilities
Mentor and provide technical guidance to drilling and completion engineers.
Oversee drilling programs and ensure consistency of engineering practices across multiple rig lines.
Liaise with business units and stakeholders on logistics, environmental, regulatory, procurement, and cost stewardship activities.
Lead long-term performance improvement initiatives and engineering studies.
Drive continuous improvement in drilling and completion operations.
Participate in vendor clarifications, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and equipment/package acceptance.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and specification deviation requests.
Address human factors engineering and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
Assist in the development and review of commissioning and System Integration Test (SIT) procedures.
Support construction, commissioning, and operational readiness activities as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
Extensive experience in drilling rig development, including FEED, detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
Proven experience in construction site management, preferably involving drilling well site design.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computing skills.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
Ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of offshore oil and gas regulations and applicable industry standards, including API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV, SOLAS, and IMO.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage work independently.
