About the Role
- We are looking for an ambitious, energetic graduate to join our team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Graduate Trainee either in our Lagos or Abuja offices. This is an entry-level role designed to launch your career in technology sales. You will be the first point of contact for prospective clients — identifying opportunities, generating qualified leads, and booking meetings for our senior sales and consulting teams.
- You will receive structured training on our service offerings across AWS, Microsoft, Cybersecurity, and AI, along with mentorship, sales methodology coaching, and a clear progression path toward Account Executive or Solutions Sales roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospective clients across target industries using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM platforms, and market databases
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting: cold calls, personalised emails, and social selling
- Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, webinars, and events, and route them to the appropriate sales team members
- Book discovery meetings and product/service demonstrations for Account Executives and Solutions Consultants
- Learn and clearly articulate CloudPlexo's value proposition across AWS cloud services, Microsoft solutions, cybersecurity offerings, and AI consulting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions in the CRM
- Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on campaign quality and messaging effectiveness
- Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for outreach activity, qualified leads, and booked meetings
- Stay informed on cloud, cybersecurity, and AI industry trends to engage prospects in credible, relevant conversations
- Participate fully in the graduate training programme, including sales methodology workshops, technical foundation courses (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft fundamentals), and shadowing senior colleagues
What We're Looking ForEssential
- A recent graduate (or final-year student) with a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers
- A genuine interest in technology — particularly cloud computing, cybersecurity, and AI
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable with rejection as part of the sales process
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A coachable mindset and eagerness to learn
Desirable (Not Required)
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, telemarketing, or a customer-facing role (including internships or part-time work)
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or Microsoft Azure)
- Experience using LinkedIn or other social platforms for professional networking
