- The Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing visually compelling motion graphics, animations, broadcast graphics, and digital content that enhance HipTV's television programming and digital platforms.
- The role requires exceptional creativity, storytelling ability, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of entertainment, television production, and social media content trends.
- The successful candidate will collaborate closely with producers, video editors, directors, digital media teams, marketing, and programming teams to deliver high-quality visual assets that strengthen the HipTV brand and engage audiences across television, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and other digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Design & Animation:
- Design high-quality 2D and basic 3D motion graphics.
- Produce engaging title sequences, show openers, lower thirds, transitions, animated logos, and broadcast packages.
- Create animated promotional materials for television programs, events, music shows, interviews, documentaries, and branded campaigns.
- Design motion graphics for LED screens, digital displays, and event productions.
- Develop animated explainer videos where required.
Broadcast Graphics:
- Design television-ready graphics that meet broadcast standards.
- Create:
- Lower thirds

- Opening titles
- Closing sequences
- Countdown animations
- Channel IDs
- Bugs and watermarks
- Information graphics
- Sponsor slates
- Ensure graphics conform to HipTV's branding guidelines.
Social Media Content:
- Produce short-form animated content optimized for:
- Instagram Reels
- TikTok
- YouTube Shorts
- Facebook
- X (Twitter)
- Create animated promotional assets for entertainment news, celebrity interviews, music releases, and lifestyle content.
- Develop engaging GIFs, stickers, animated posts, and promotional teasers.
Video Production Support:
- Collaborate with video editors to integrate motion graphics into television productions.
- Design visual effects that enhance storytelling.
- Support post-production with compositing, keying, tracking, and animation.
- Assist during live broadcasts with graphics preparation when required.
Branding & Identity:
- Maintain visual consistency across all HipTV productions.
- Develop branded motion graphic templates for recurring programs.
- Design animated logo reveals and identity packages.
- Contribute innovative creative concepts that strengthen the station's visual identity.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting production deadlines.
- Interpret creative briefs and translate them into compelling visual solutions.
- Present concepts and revisions to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain organized project files and design assets.
Innovation:
- Stay updated on emerging design trends, animation techniques, AI-assisted creative tools, and broadcast technologies.
- Recommend creative improvements that enhance production quality and workflow efficiency.
- Continuously improve animation techniques and storytelling approaches.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia, Fine Arts, Mass Communication, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in Adobe Creative Suite, Motion Graphics, or Animation are an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in motion graphics, television production, advertising, media, or digital content creation.
- Experience working in a television station, production company, creative agency, or digital media organization is highly preferred.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics, animation, and broadcast work is mandatory.
