Responsibilties




  • Responsible for Implementation and Co-ordination of all QHSE System/ Manual / Project QHSE plans, as well as instilling an HQSE culture within the Company

  • To co-ordinate (with Supervisors and Beam’s Departmental Heads), the scheduling of QHSE meetings and ensure it-for-purpose waste management.

  • Ensuring that processes and procedures needed for Quality Management System (QMS) and HSE are established, implemented and maintained;

  • Ensuring the promotion of awareness of QMS and Customer requirements at all Beam Energy Limited work areas and offices

  • Liaise and cooperate with Regulatory and Certification Organizations as Management Representative on behalf of Beam Energy Limited

  • To inspect the work areas regularly in order to ensure that the QHSE policies and programs of Beam Energy Ltd are followed, and to ensure that the required corrective actions are taken where necessary

  • To liaise closely and close out all matters with the Client Representatives with regard to Quality, Health, Environment and Safety for the Company

  • Facilitate regular HSE meetings, training, and inductions of safety policies

  • To be responsible for the training/induction of new personnel and all levels of personnel on QHSE matters, with attention particularly to hazardous tasks.

  • To carry out routine HSE/ Fire drills and oversee housekeeping implementations

  • Initiate and implement changes to standards (internally & externally)

  • To conduct or participate in the investigation of all incidents, accidents and near misses and take corrective actions to mitigate any dangerous acts or practices

  • Defines, develops and facilitates implementation of required HSE plans

  • To ensure and coordinate the company’s ISO IMS certifications (9001,14001 and 45001) and all relevant Certifications

  • To support in Tendering by providing all related documents in QHSE for all Tenders and be an advisor for any related QHSE issues for all personnel.

  • To participate in toolbox meetings held by the foremen and Safety Officers

  • Implements and maintains HSE statistical records for all BEL activities

  • To ensure that Safety equipment is regularly inspected and serviced as required

  • To ensure monitoring and evaluation of departmental risk and opportunity analysis

  • Ensure periodic review of standard work procedures

  • To ensure Management Review Meetings are carried out yearly.

  • To conduct registration and bi-annual evaluation of its approved vendors.

  • Weekly reporting on site and office activities.



Qualifications




  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 5 - 10 years of experience.
