Job Summary




  • Responsible for guaranteed quality customer service delivery through efficient and effective operations, while ensuring compliance with the bank’s laid down policies, procedures, processes and regulatory.



Roles




  • Ensure that all units have the necessary tools to work effectively.

  • Ensure all Operations staff is abreast of the Bank’s policies and procedures.

  • Ensure that all customers’ requests are treated.

  • Ensure all staff attends to customers promptly and are always courteous.

  • Supervise Operations activities (cash, customer service and funds transfer) to ensure timely and efficient service delivery to customers.

  • Implement budget and cost control measures for the Bank.

  • Provide and monitor all expense lines.

  • Render statutory returns to appropriate regulatory bodies.

  • Ensure proper documentation for all transactions and authorise transactions within approval limits.

  • Oversee account opening process and certify complete documentation and prompt scanning of account mandates as well as tracking/follow-up on deferred documents.

  • Ensure adherence to vault cash insurance limit.

  • Handling Bank’s correspondence with other banks to ensure excellence service

  • Rendition of correspondence Bank’s statement to ensure correct postings

  • Ensure vault physical cash is equal to ledger at the close of each day.

  • Ensure vault is always shut and cash secured as stipulated.

  • Supervise the handling of accounts & clearing functions.

  • Oversee the activities of E- Business under customer service; Online Banking, issuance, blocking/unblocking of the different card products.

  • Provide and keep timely and accurate reports (Bank’s and regulatory agencies) on Branch Operations in prescribed formats and intervals.

  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate confidentiality and security of customer and transactional information and safety.



Requirements




  • First Degree in any Discipline with a minimum of Second Class lower or HND with Upper Credit division.

  • Minimum of five year’s experience in Banking Operations

  • Management professional certifications is an added advantage.

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision are essential.

  • Knowledge of understanding of banking regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and prevent

  • Great knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office suites.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
