Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage daily financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, and support financial reporting.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, and a good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
Prepare and process payments, invoices, receipts, and journal entries.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
Support external audits by preparing required financial documents.
Maintain the fixed asset register and monitor asset records.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (experience in the real estate, construction, or property management industry is an advantage).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, or similar).
Good understanding of financial reporting, bookkeeping, and reconciliation processes.
Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory compliance is an advantage.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
