Job Summary




  • Lead and deliver bank-wide projects that grow revenue, improve operations, ensure CBN/NDIC compliance, and scale financial inclusion products.



Responsibilities




  • End-to-End Project Management: Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and close projects: new product launches, core banking upgrades, branch expansion, agency banking rollout, mobile app, financial inclusion programs.

  • Product Rollouts: Lead launch of micro-loans, group lending, POS/Agent banking, savings products, USSD, mobile app. Work with Marketing and Risk.

  • Core Banking Integration: Manage CBS upgrades, integration with NIBSS, CBN, NIMC, BVN, credit bureaus, payment gateways.

  • Process Re-engineering: Map AS-IS processes, design TO-BE. Drive automation to reduce loan TAT

  • Regulatory Projects: Drive CBN/NDIC compliance projects: AML/CFT upgrade

  • Scope, Timeline & Budget Control: Develop project charter, WBS, Gantt, risk register.

  • Stakeholder Management: Align Business, IT, Risk, Compliance, Ops, Branches, and Vendors. Run steering committee meetings and status reports.

  • Vendor & Contract Management: Manage fintech vendors, consultants, contractors. Ensure SLAs and value-for-money.

  • Post-Implementation Review: Track benefits 3-6 months after go-live: revenue, cost saving, customer uptake.

  • Change Management: Train staff, develop SOPs, manage communication

  • Data Protection, Cybersecurity framework implementation.



Requirements




  • First Degree in any Discipline with a minimum of Second Class lower or HND with Upper Credit division.

  • Minimum of five years’ experience with 3 years managing projects in a bank, fintech, or financial services. MFB experience is a strong plus.

  • PMP certification is an added advantage.

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision are essential.

  • Knowledge of CBN Microfinance Bank guidelines, AML/CFT, Agency Banking Framework, Financial Inclusion Strategy.

  • Great knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office suites.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
