3 months with possibility of extension.
FUNCTIONS
Provide basic healthcare services to community members, under the supervision and guidance of Senior Community Health Extension Worker.
Conduct health assessments and screenings, including vital signs measurement, basic medical history taking, and health education.
Assist in the implementation of community health programs, including vaccination campaigns, child health initiatives, and disease prevention activities.
Conduct home visits and community outreach to educate and raise awareness about health issues, promoting healthy behaviours and practices.
Administer basic treatments and medications as directed by Senior Community Health Extension Worker, following established protocols and guidelines.
Support in the management and maintenance of medical records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Collaborate with other healthcare team members, such as nurses, doctors, and community health workers, in providing comprehensive healthcare services.
Participate in training and capacity-building activities to enhance knowledge and skills in community health promotion and primary healthcare.
Monitor and report on community health indicators and trends, contributing to the assessment and evaluation of program effectiveness.
Assist in the organization and coordination of health education sessions, workshops, and community events.
Conduct health counselling and provide guidance on preventive measures, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Support in the identification and referral of cases requiring specialized healthcare services or further medical attention.
