Purpose of the job
- This is primarily a field-based position reporting to the M&E Officer with significant time (95-100% time) at the office in order to complete the tasks listed below. Occasional weekend and after-hours work may be required on an as-needed basis (up to, not exceeding, 25% time.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete entry of project data into designated databases and reporting platforms.
- Conduct daily data cleaning, validation, and quality control checks to maintain data integrity and consistency.
- Maintain organized, secure, and accurate filing (electronic and hard copy) of all project data forms and related documentation.
- Implement efficient tracking systems for all data collection tools and source documents to prevent loss or duplication.
- Review and resolve data queries in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Uphold strict patient confidentiality standards, ensuring secure handling of patient-identifiable information in accordance with data protection policies and ethical guidelines.
- Retrieve and verify laboratory testing results from the molecular testing platforms as required.
- Support timely preparation and submission of reports in line with donor requirements and reporting timelines.
- Provide additional administrative and project-related support as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
Education:
Knowledge/experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or Public Health or any other related field
- Knowledgeable in the use of computers and the Kobo-Collect tool.
- Experience with public health projects, research projects, or working in a hospital setting is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, approachable, and a good listener
- Exhibits a high level of accuracy in work and ability to analyze complex sets of relationships and situations.
- Ability to work on one's own initiative, prioritize work, and handle pressure
