Job Summary
- We are seeking a vigilant, disciplined and responsible Procurement Officer generally responsible for managing efficiency and effectiveness of the purchasing cycle.
Key Responsibilities
In addition to being able to excellently carry out the duties of a level 1 procurement officer,
- Carries out the following responsibilities such as establish market knowledge for products and suppliers, expedite effectively and progression all local orders.
- Raise, initiate all local procurement activities and manage local cash purchase in a manner that will be in the best interest of the company.
- Monitor current market prices for all items.
- Manage suppliers cost quality and delivery performance.
- Locate, analyses and develop consolidate supplier base to meet current and future needs of the company.
- Participates in negotiate favorable contractual terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Conduct market research and cost analysis.
- Recommend sourcing strategies & general process improvement as the need arises.
- Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time as the need arises.
Key Requirements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of local markets for different items.
- Working knowledge of prices of items.
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain management.
