Job Summary




  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to manage the organization's financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with statutory regulations, and support sound financial decision-making.

  • The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience in financial management.



Key Responsibilities




  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations.

  • Process payments, invoices, receipts, and journal entries in a timely manner.

  • Monitor cash flow and ensure effective treasury management.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding discrepancies.

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

  • Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, and other regulatory obligations.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.

  • Monitor expenditure to ensure compliance with approved budgets and company policies.

  • Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee asset accounting.

  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.

  • Collaborate with other departments to support business operations and financial objectives.



Requirements




  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ACA is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or finance.

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and statutory compliance.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or ERP systems).

  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
