Job Description
The Head of Lubricants will be responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and overall performance of the company’s Lubricants and chemical business, with a primary focus on Chemical business. This role involves overseeing the entire value chain, including product development, sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations to maximize profitability and expand market presence.
- Develop and implement a robust strategic plan for the growth of the chemical business segments in alignment with overall corporate goals.
- Consolidate on the Trans aqua business whilst identifying new chemical business opportunities, partnerships, to drive revenue growth.
- Lead market intelligence and competitor analysis efforts to keep abreast of industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies.
- Manage relationships with key industry stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, OEMs, and regulators to enhance business performance.
- Develop and execute marketing and sales strategies to drive chemical businesses including the Trans aqua products.
- Collaborate with the sales team to set sales targets and ensure achievement of revenue goals across different regions and sectors.
- Oversee the implementation of digital marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Guide the team in creating and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell within the existing customer base.
- Oversee supply chain management for Transaqua and other chemicals, ensuring efficient sourcing, production, and distribution.
- Ensure product availability by managing inventory levels and reducing lead times.
- Collaborate with the procurement and clearing agents to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and optimize the cost structure.
- Listen to the trends of the market and direct the market research efforts of the company
- Monitor competitive activates
- Provides guidance on maintenance of industry data
- Provide training opportunities and access to the latest industry data for the team
- Maintain high level contacts with industry leaders
- Develop relationships with key influencers in key customer hierarchy
- Ensure unit requirements & challenges are known by the highest levels of company leadership
- Creating a solid network of strategic partnerships
- Any other job as may be assigned by the MD – EIL
Qualifications
- B.E Engineering, or Social Sciences or any other relevant or related field of study from an accredited University.
- Membership of professional qualification will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience
- Experience in industrial sales
- Strong knowledge of lubricants products, applications, and market dynamics
