Our client in the Information Technology Services industry is seeking an organized Logistics Assistant to support inventory management, logistics coordination, and service centre operations while ensuring efficient movement of parts, accurate stock control, and compliance with operational standards.



Job Summary



The Logistics Assistant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day logistics, inventory control, and administrative operations within the service centre. The role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and ensuring the smooth movement of parts and equipment to support service delivery and operational efficiency.



Responsibilities



Receive, inspect, and record incoming parts and equipment.




  • Maintain accurate inventory records across inventory and CRM systems.

  • Monitor stock levels and support inventory counts, audits, and reconciliations.

  • Coordinate the movement of parts and equipment between service centre locations.

  • Prepare shipment documentation and ensure proper packaging and dispatch of items.

  • Track deliveries and follow up on delays to ensure service commitments are met.

  • Manage the receipt, dispatch, and return of defective parts and equipment.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for reporting, compliance, and audit purposes.

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the service operations team.

  • Ensure proper storage, organization, and security of inventory items.

  • Support engineers and service personnel with timely allocation and issuance of parts.

  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures and service-level agreements (SLAs).



Requirements




  • Minimum of OND qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years' experience in logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related role.

  • Experience within an IT hardware, technical service centre, or technology-related environment is an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in inventory management systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Good understanding of logistics, inventory control, and supply chain processes.

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and record-keeping skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
