We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Supply Chain Lead to lead and oversee the company's sourcing, procurement, expediting, vendor management and inventory control activities.
The successful candidate will drive efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations, ensure timely delivery of goods and services, strengthen supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
The role requires strong commercial, analytical and leadership capabilities, with the ability to work collaboratively across Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Finance and other internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead sourcing, procurement, expediting and vendor management activities.
Develop and execute procurement strategies and plans aligned with business and operational requirements.
Manage Request for Quotation (RFQ) and tender processes, including sourcing, evaluation and vendor selection.
Conduct vendor pre-qualification, appraisal and performance assessments.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor supplier performance, quality, cost and delivery.
Support contract negotiation and management and ensure favourable commercial terms.
Identify and implement cost-saving and value-optimisation opportunities.
Monitor purchase orders, contracts, service orders, delivery schedules and associated costs.
Establish and monitor key supply chain performance indicators and provide regular management reports.
Work closely with Operations, Logistics and other stakeholders to improve planning, replenishment and delivery processes.
Lead initiatives to streamline processes, strengthen controls and improve supply chain efficiency.
Ensure effective warehouse operations and the implementation of appropriate inventory control practices.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor documentation, pricing, specifications, performance records and other procurement information.
Analyse supplier financial and operational information to assess commercial and supply risks.
Provide leadership, supervision, mentoring and guidance to the Supply Chain team.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures and applicable requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from a reputable tertiary institution, with a minimum of Second Class Lower (2:2).
Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Strategic Sourcing, with proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM,CIPSMN, ISM or equivalent
Proven supervisory and leadership experience.
Strong experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and vendor management.
Demonstrated experience in inventory and warehouse management.
Experience in contract negotiation and contract management.
Strong understanding of procurement processes, tender management and supplier evaluation.
