Job Summary




  • We are seeking a hands-on and detail-orientedAccountantwith3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally gained within alaw firm or professional services environment.



Key Responsibilities




  • Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for the firm.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and reconciliations.

  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses and general ledger transactions.

  • Prepare invoices and monitor client receivables and outstanding balances.

  • Track client-related payments, disbursements and expenses accurately.

  • Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations.

  • Support monthly management accounts and financial reporting.

  • Assist with cash-flow monitoring, budgeting and financial analysis.

  • Maintain proper documentation and records for all financial transactions.

  • Support tax, statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Liaise with partners, lawyers, clients, vendors and external accountants/auditors where required.

  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to accounting queries.

  • Ensure compliance with the firm's internal financial controls and accounting procedures.

  • Identify discrepancies, investigate issues and ensure timely resolution.

  • Provide financial information and reports to management as required.



Requirements




  • Bachelor's Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • 3–5 years' accounting experience.

  • Experience working in a law firm is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in a professional services environment will also be considered.
