Responsibilities




  • Financial Data & Cost Optimization: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization, enhancing financial decision-making.

  • General Ledger Accuracy: Analyze expenses and cost transactions, ensuring that transactions are recorded accurately in the appropriate cost center and general ledger.

  • Budget Tracking & Variance Analysis: Monitor and report on actual costs versus budgeted costs, accurately identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to maintain budget integrity.

  • Inventory Control & Audit: Participate in month-end stock count activities to verify physical assets and align inventory with financial balances.

  • Budgetary Support: Assist in preparing and reviewing departmental budgets, ensuring precision and compliance with company policies, which improved budget accuracy.

  • Cost-Saving Strategies: Contribute to developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives, including process improvements and supplier negotiations, resulting in measurable cost reductions.

  • Management Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including detailed cost analyses and actionable recommendations for cost reduction to senior management.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations and management, to ensure alignment and enhance cost management practices.



Qualifications and Requirements




  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Finance or Accounting.

  • Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, with knowledge of financial principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and integrity in financial practices.
