NoemDek Limited is seeking a Finance & Strategy Analyst to assist the finance/accounting department, create routine financial reports, and/or research and analyze and support ad-hoc projects.
The Finance & Strategy Analyst is expected to utilize data-driven thinking to identify strategic and analyze opportunities to grow the business and work cross- functionally to drive and align with other stakeholders across different business units.
The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Finance Functions
- Work under the supervision of the finance analyst and learn the accounting and auditing process
- Prepare financial models and profitability analysis as required
- Accurate bookkeeping of the various transactions undertaken by the company
- Perform reconcilement of banking activities and assist with month-end close process and journal entries
- Manage specialized information, reports, forms dealing with fees, billing, tracking of projects etc.
- Collect, understand, process, verify and report accounting related-information to the appropriate sub-head
- Assist with research, filing, data entry and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
- Assist in the preparation of monthly or weekly financial reports
- Source for other sources of finance for the company
- Analyze investment opportunities.
- Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and finance as assigned by the line manager.
Strategic Functions
- Drive special projects that are urgent and important. Most of these will be of a strategic and cross-functional nature
- Identify procedural gaps in existing workflows and work to resolve with optimization, automation, and data
- Support the creation of prepared materials (documents, decks)
- Translate practical needs into technical requirements
- Assist on financial and strategic planning projects for the different lines of business
- Provide insights and analysis on the company’s operations
- Provide support and oversight for special projects and initiatives
- Identify and helping solve core problems or opportunities within business processes
- Execute assignments as directed
Requirements
- 0 to 1 year experience post NYSC
- Recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, related areas, or equivalent work experience preferred (minimum of 3.0 GPA) –
- Strong knowledge of basic principles of accounting and financial analysis. Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is an added advantage
