Job Description



Duties / Responsibilities

Group Accounts:



  • Provide monthly Group Consolidated financial performance and position to the management

  • Assist in the completion of Group strategic direction and financial projection.

  • Provide weekly consolidated business update to management

  • Assist in the monitoring of group financial performance, efficiency, and liquidity via weekly review of profitability, cash position and outstanding liabilities

  • Maintain adequate record of business audited financial statements

  • Work with the SBU HOAs to provide necessary records and request by the Management, Directors and Board.


Saro Oil Palm Project:



  • Daily monitoring of movement in cash position.

  • Ensure adequate liquidity is available while ensuring excess funds are adequately invested to generate inflow

  • Ensure payments are made in line with payment prioritization

  • Ensure payable are fully approved before making payments

  • Daily posting of transactions on the ERP

  • Ensure adequate financial record in line with the IFRS and Group Finance Manual

  • Provide monthly cost update and Management Accounts to the Management Team

  • Ensure adequate overall tax administration and management of the business

  • Ensure adequate safety and record of company assets

  • Work with the Project team to achieve its financial objectives

  • Provide any other report as requested by the project Director, MD, GEF or HOA NCB


Insurance:



  • Ensure Saro Group assets are adequately covered at all times

  • Work with the businesses to ensure adequate claim documents are provided for insurance claim

  • Actively engage the insurers through the insurance brokers to ensure insurance claims are timely closed at favourable/acceptable value

  • Track Insurance claim period and timelines to ensure all assets are adequately covered as and when due

  • Maintain adequate insurance claim documents and record

  • Provide weekly insurance claim update to GEF and FC

  • Provide any other report as may be requested by the FC and GEF


SAI Finance:



  • Oversee the financial performance and record of the corporate office (SAI)

  • Work with the accounts officer to ensure timely remittances of statutory obligations for SAI

  • Work with the AO and finance team to resolve SAI related Tax and other statutory issues

  • Assist the AO in conjunction with the FC in ensuring adequate budgetary control and cash management of SAI Finance

  • Work with the AO and finance team to resolve SAI related Tax and other statutory issues


Others:



  • Provide other task and requests as may be deemed necessary by the GEF and FC from time to time.


Education and Experience



  • Minimum of BSc. in Accounting, Economics, or Finance from a reputable university

  • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACCA or ACA) or a prospective member.

  • Applicant must have a Minimum of 5yrs working experience in a similar role.

  • Age Requirement: 28 - 35 years old.
