Summary

• To plan, coordinate, and direct the organization’s information systems and other related activities, recommending appropriate technologies required to meet the organization’s IT goals/ objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyse, the organization’s IT requirements (short and long term) and recommend acquisitions and/or upgrades to top management


• Plan and direct the installation of hardware and software tools and technologies


• Secure the safety and security of the organization’s IT network and electronic documents


• Learn about new technologies and look for ways to implement them within the organization


• Perform and present cost-benefit analysis of IT projects, and justify spending to the organization’s top management.


• Manage personnel, operations, and IT expenditure within budget.


• Negotiate with technology vendors, and contractors to obtain the highest possible level of services for the organization.

• Excellent understanding of design and Application Architecture


• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential


• Self-driven and ability to champion causes and influence outcomes


• Ability to quickly learn complex systems and interconnections between systems


• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and being able to think like a development manager


• Effective time and task management skills, including the ability to manage concurrent deliverables


• Ability to act as a lead technical development expert and subject matter expert for a business application and/or a specific technology


• Ability to dive deep into technical issues


• Ability to interact with Business Stakeholders and explain complex issues in an easy-to-understand language.

Educational Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of HND / B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field


• 7 years of relevant experience


• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability


• Certification for Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or Training in ITIL will be an added advantage.
