Description



  • Assist with the maintenance of accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations

  • Assist to prepare and analyze financial statements and reports

  • Participate in audits and provide recommendations for improving financial processes

  • Responsible for analysis of accounts payable, the supplier's down payments, petty cash notes payable and prepaid expenses

  • Reconcile accounts with the general ledger to ensure all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards.

  • Investigate financial errors and rectify them as necessary.

  • Support the development and implementation of internal controls and policies

  • Provide assistance to other divisions on financial matters

  • Assist with budget preparation and tracking expenses

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations

  • Support the implementation of accounting software and systems


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • 1-2 years experience as a financial accountant

  • ACA/ACCA professional certification is an added advantage

  • Knowledge of computerized accounting systems.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software

  • Proficiency with financial ERP platforms; previous experience using SAGE is an added advantage.

  • Solid knowledge of accounting regulations

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
