Record fixed assets purchase, disposal, depreciation, prepare fixed assets movement schedule and maintain the fixed assets register.
Post bank and cash transactions promptly and carry-out bank reconciliations periodically.
Record and process vendor invoices for payment.
Posting of expenses to accounts and cost centres by analysing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
Manage CIT, WHT and VAT for the Company responding to tax authorities on tax matters.
Process customers’ sales orders and issue customer invoices promptly. Post customers’ inflows promptly and ensure correctness of customers’ statements.
Receive stock purchased into inventory bins, reconcile physical stock reports to the system reports periodically.
Perform intercompany reconciliation of balances periodically.
Respond to external vendors and internal managers regarding all aspects of the Company’s transactions.
Attend to statutory auditors’ on annual audits
Knowledge/Skills
Must possess very sound knowledge of accounting principles.
Sound knowledge of taxes and statutory deductions in Nigeria
Must be able to do analysis and interpretation of financial transactions.
Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines, determine priorities and organize work to meet objectives and identify and deal with problems.
Outstanding attention to detail with an ability to reconcile complex accounts.
Ability to maintain strong relationships with external parties and internal colleagues.
Knowledgeable in IFRS.
Minimum Qualification
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics or relevant field
At least 4 years post NYSC work experience in a similar role.
